'Sportuj s Legendou' - A Platform for Former Sports Stars
As a Product Designer, I undertook the project of designing a website called 'Sportuj s Legendou' for Dominik Hrbaty. The website’s primary goal is to offer former sports stars an avenue to earn extra income through personal training sessions, motivational speeches, and guest appearances at events. The project involved designing both the frontend for the users and an admin backend for management.
Process
Research & Client Workshops
Understanding the target audience and the client's vision was paramount. I conducted market research to analyze similar platforms and understand the preferences of former sports stars and potential customers. Additionally, workshops with Dominik Hrbaty were instrumental in gaining insights into the specific requirements and objectives for 'Sportuj s Legendou'.
Wireframing
With the information gathered, I started by creating low-fidelity wireframes for the website. The primary components included:
Profile creation for sports stars, including a calendar for availability.
A search and booking interface for customers.
An admin backend for managing profiles, bookings, and payments.
These wireframes served as the basic structure of the website, focusing on usability and an intuitive flow.
Prototyping
Moving on to high-fidelity prototyping, I concentrated on creating an engaging and visually compelling design. The aesthetics were designed to evoke sportsmanship and excellence. The prototype enabled us to visualize how users would interact with the platform and provided a foundation for discussion with the client.
Client Feedback & Design Iterations
I presented the prototype to Dominik Hrbaty, who provided invaluable feedback. This collaborative approach helped in aligning the design with the client’s vision. Based on the feedback, I made several iterations to the design, including refining the calendar feature and enhancing the booking experience for users.
Responsive Design
To ensure the website is accessible across various devices, I created designs for responsive layouts. This included optimizing the user interface for mobile, tablets, and desktops, ensuring a seamless experience regardless of the device being used.
Implementation & Launch
Once the designs were finalized, the development team worked on bringing 'Sportuj s Legendou' to life. The website was successfully launched, and former sports stars began creating profiles and listing their services.
